City Love: Kate's Paperie

I am one of those people who could live on the stationery aisle of the craft store. I love everything paper and pen and go gaga for color and shape and texture. I think it's because my mom used to drag me to wallpaper and fabric stores for hours on end when I was a little girl.

My love affair with journals and doodle-pads, which first began with Lisa Frank spirals, is still very much alive today.  There are tons of little paper stores in Manhattan, but my favorite go-to is Kate's Paperie. Whenever I'm down in Soho or the Bowery, I always make time to pop in and peruse. I get so googly-eyed at all the textured paper and stamps and journals that I almost have to coach myself calm.

I love this little stamp holder.. how cute would it be on a desk in a study? MMM!

planners and pouches galore!

maybe I already have 40 empty journals.. but what's one more.

This little spot is full of tables for sitting and sipping coffee and flipping through paper books. HEAVEN!

walls and walls of textured papers!

MMM! I just want everything. They had this gorgeous paper that I wanted, but it may or may not have been $28 per sheet (yea, you heard me). Love ya Kate, but I gotta eat.
