Gracious, Lord

I know you already know this, but big Cities don't lend themselves to easy friend-making. Yea, you can meet lots of people, but finding friends? not a cake walk, people.

Finding a rich, life-giving community didn't just fall on my doorstep (or shall I say 'stoop') when I moved here. Honestly, it has never been an easy thing for me. I know this comes as a shock, but I'm pretty shy. I'm good at making conversations, not connections. I'm pretty reserved and it takes me a long time to open up. 

Thanks to a gracious, gracious Lord who knows me and loves me, I have been able to make some really quality girlfriends. We are an eclectic bunch, with different things going on-- some of us in school, some of us making music, some in film, some in banking. But God has begun to mold our hearts together and I am so thankful.  

We got together last night for a little dinner and girl time and it was just what I needed!

If your in a new city and longing for community, don't give up. It takes time. He hasn't forgotten about you. If you're in this City, come hang with us- we'd love to have you.
