Traditions & a Recipe

I am a sucker for any kind of tradition, especially during the Holidays. One of my favorite traditions is  baking Christmas goodies with Honey. {Not like Pooh's honey, but my grandmother- 'Honey'}.

Hannah and I alway spend the night with Honey during our Christmas break and as soon as we wake up -and help ourselves to a bowl full of our Poppa's cheese grits, of course- we dedicate our day to cooking candies that my grandmother sends to her girlfriends. This year we made hand dipped pecan treats... delicious, y'all.

Cranberry Pecan Candy recipe:

You'll need: 1 1/2 bag Dried Cranberries, 1 package of white chocolate brick, 1/2 lb bag of pecans (crushed) wax paper, pan.

Step 1: Heat oven to 350 degress
Step 2: Place bag of white chocolate brick in a saucepan (low flame). Stir until melted and semi-thick. Remove from flame and place in a mixing bowl.
Step 3: Stir in bag of crushed pecans
Step 4: Stir in bag of dried cranberries
Step 5: Drop a heaping spoonful of mix onto a pan lined with parchment paper.
Step 6: Leave until hardened. When they are firm, they are ready to serve.
Step 7: LICK THE SPOON!

Easy Breezy and super YUM! ENJOY!
