"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter"In honor of this day and those wise words, here are some local things that matter to me:
- Martin Luther King, Jr, 1968
You know the statistics. They're devastating and unfair and..... totally fixable. Get involved with this NYC based organization.. Scott and the team are the real deal! Their mission? "charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. We've set an aggressive goal: to provide clean water to 100 million people in the next ten years and solve 10% of the global water problem" .. Maybe you can help? Donate your birthday or Christmas! New Alternatives for Children
New Alternatives for Children (NAC), an established social service agency in Manhattan, exists to serve vulnerable families who have children facing severe mental or medical disabilities. It is their belief that ‘illness or disability should never deprive a child of a loving home and a bright future’. They are always looking for volunteers and mentors to help their special kiddos. And you know what's great? I get to WORK HERE!

They are frontrunners in restoring decency and civility to our world. They offer refuge and resources to victims in our City and across the globe. They could use your gifts to pull millions of men and women to freedom.
I love this organization and have been able to experience its fruits firsthand. Aaron Coe, the founder of 'Send' was the former pastor of the first church I went to in New York, Gallery Church. He and his family are beautiful people who desire to raise and equip leaders who will mobilize this City for Christ. They are using New York City's hotbed of culture to cultivate community and fruit that will be sent and will be seen all over the world. They are praying that this City will be the Gospel's 'launching pad'. I love that. Partner with them?
